Favorable to NAION

1. old age > 60 years
2. no painful 
3. better color vision than visual loss 
4. Visual field test : altitudinal (more than 50%)
5. optic disc hemorrhage (70%)
6. no change of visual loss (50%)

Favorable to Optic neuritis

1. middle aged women
2. painful on ocular movement
3. worse color vision than visual loss
4. visual field test : diffuse, non-specific
5. optic disc hemorrhage : unusual (5%)
6. recovery of visual loss within 2 months
